Just after the recovery of the Lions Head/Signal Hill fire, Two more broke out in Cape Town today under high-temperature circumstances. The flames grew larger by the second and resulted in Kloof Nek Road being closed off. Below you can view the flames being watered down by 3 firefighting helicopters.
So I did some traveling and Israel was my first stop. Beautiful buildings, beaches and – the people. Amongst my many “activities” I had some great fun trancing it up 😉
Unity Festival, hosting renowned parties throughout Israel, threw one day of pure MAYHEM.
A day to celebrate five years for Unity Festival and everything that ties in such as PEACE – LOVE – UNITY – RESPECT – TOGETHER WE ARE ONE
After months of snowballing hype, finally the 23rd of June arrived and festival-goers from all over the world splashed it out at Hamat Gader, Israel, at Unity Festival’s Five Year Celebration.
An incredible crowd flooded the grounds. If I had to use one word to describe it, I would say ENERGY!
Ayahuaska kicked off at 9am with a powerful set and the festival began…
LINE UP
I did my very best to snap some vids but when your feet just want to move…
With a powerful line-up of local artists and International, the dancefloor was super pumped. So let’s take a look at who was up on those stages?
From 9am into the dark, it was non stop exuberance and an experience not to be forgotten.
There were two stages:
Both stages were cooled with water sprayers (phew) and to cool down, even more, there were supertubes and pools. It was definitely a first, dancing in a pool – epic.
All the stalls were absolutely awesome. Who knew I was going to buy such dope yoga pants at a jol?
Some snaps of the lovely ladies (and guys) who added more colour to the party! Check out Indian Dream to see more!
PEACE LOVE UNITY
The festival had such high energy, and at 9am!! Israel, you beauty. Thank you to UNITY Festival for creating the opportunity for others to experience this memorable weekend. Congratulations on 5 Years. Thank you to the photographers that provided such spectacular material.
I think it’s safe to say that Friday was an unforgettable event. I attend these events for the love of the music and more importantly the incredible memories that are made. As the saying goes “Events end, but the memories last forever.”
Psymedia held their event at District, a popular nightclub based in Harrington Street that hosts regular events on a weekly basis. Mad drinks specials were on the cards, as you all know, Happy Hour from 21h00-22h00. Not drinking? Grab a Redbull!
Psymedia’s event was 7 hours of Techno / Progressive / Psytrance. Basically pure bliss. I don’t know about you, but my feet were definitely moving! The music was on point from start to finish and there was not a moment that dancefloor was not occupied. What I couldn’t help notice was the strong interaction between the DJ’s and the crowd and this quote just stood out to me:
Music should either move your feet or move your heart.
However, I shall challenge this quote by saying that on Friday night I think the music did both.
These were all local artists and were absolutely incredible up there. Check out their SoundCloud – especially if you missed the event! The use of visuals and lighting created a mindblowing atmosphere. PUPIL Visuals
The Party People
Need I say much? The photos tell the story. Uplifting, cheerful and great dancing partners!
By the time it reached 04h00 and those lights came on, I saw many sad faces! I guess time flies when you’re having fun! A HUGE thanks to Psymedia, District, Olmeca Tequila and Red Bull
